The Smoking Jacket

The Smoking Jacket has a built-in pair of lungs on the front. As the wearer smokes, the lungs fill up with the exhaled cigarette smoke and begin to gradually darken over time. This project was a result of exploring visceral, reflective design as it relates to the body, behavioral choices, and information displays. It was part of a series I created on visceral displays which included The Malignant Mole Bikini, a bikini that 'grows' moles when it's exposed to UV light.

Materials: fabric, tubing, valves, smoke filter, plastic.
