A washable quilt which acts as a record and playback device: each square holds sound, which is recordable and playable simply through touch. The quilt's normal exterior hides a complex electronic circuit, constructed with soft, conductive fabrics and threads.

This project was developed for speech and learning sessions with a non-verbal, mobility-challenged young girl, but could also be used in the context of a storytelling or memorial quilt. It was co-created with Alice Tseng-Planas, Kate Hartman, Kati London, Megan MacMurray, and Nanna Halinen.
